Pumpkin Pie Green Smoothie


(Recipe adapted from Eating Bird Food)

INGREDIENTS: 

½ to ¾ cup canned unsweetened pumpkin

1 cup to 1 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk

1 cup spinach (frozen or fresh)

1/2 ripe banana

1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder (Vega Max if dairy free)

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

pinch of ground ginger

Add ice if not using any frozen ingredients

INSTRUCTIONS: 

Put all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.  Pour into a glass and enjoy!

NOTES:

I like to add a tablespoon of chia or flax seeds to incorporate Omega-3 fatty acids into my breakfast.
