Cinnamon Spiced Mix Nuts

INGREDIENTS (from Isadore Nut Company):

  • 4 1/2 cups raw nuts (pecans, almonds and walnuts work well)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp tumeric
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cumin seed, ground
  • 1 1/2 tsp sesame seed (ground)
  • 2 tsp salt (or more to taste)

INSTRUCTIONS:

•Preheat over to 250 F.

•Whisk all ingredients except nuts in a bowl to make paste.

•Add nuts and toss until coated

•Using a rubber spatula spread nuts and any paste on a baking pan lined with parchment or Silpat.

•Cook for 15-20 minutes, checking periodically and tossing.

•Let nuts cool in the pan.  Once cool you can serve immediately or store in air tight container for 1-2 weeks.
