Thankful and Grateful as We Enter a New Decade

As 2019 draws to a close and we enter the new decade I am reminded to pause and reflect on this past year.  I am immensely grateful for each of you and the support, encouragement and inspiration that you've given me.  I learn so much from you as friends, supporters and clients when you share your challenges, questions and ideas and I would not be where I am today as a health coach and entrepreneur without these experiences.

I encourage each of you to think about all of the lessons and experiences you had in 2019 and what you want to accomplish in 2020.  There will be ups and downs in your life but know that each of those challenges arose to help you become a stronger and better version of you.  There is always a silver lining in every unhappy situation; you just need to look for it, embrace it and learn from it.

Last year my family made vision boards (which are still prominently displayed in our mud room) and I plan to do the same this year.  I think it's a great exercise to do alone or with your kids as way to live out each day and each year with more intention so that you can live your most authentic and happiest life.

As we enter the final week of the year, which is usually filled with more social time with family and friends I want to leave you with one piece of advice.   Enjoy food at social gatherings!  Listen to your body and your hunger cues and don't get too caught up or obsess over eating "healthy".  This means fill your plate with foods that nourish your body and when you do enjoy your favorite holiday dish or dessert wake up the next morning with a smile rather than the feeling that you need to burn a bunch of calories to overcome the guilt and shame.

While you're out shopping for others this season, consider giving yourself the gift of health and schedule a free 30-minute call to discuss how you can start living your happiest, healthiest and most fulfilling life in 2020.

There’s still time left to shop for that last minute gift that will help someone live their happiest, healthiest and most authentic life. Check out my holiday shop page for that perfect gift.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday season and a happy and healthy New Year!
